when? where? who? why?
The connecting thread leading our project is the increasing difficulties students and young professionals may meet in career guidance, iduring their studies or later when they are about to find a job. We decided to develop a simulation allowing players to live a realistic experience of the professional world thanks to experimenting occupations they are attracted to.
for whom?
The simulation we created is a pedagogical tool, this way it is mostly adressed to 18-25 year-old people. We justify our choice because it seems to be the more accurate target according to our to our goal.
Indeed, we are aiming to help students to find the right professional path.
However, to me even more clearer, we have the ambition to create a game, as didacticial than playful, so it would be a true leisure time for players no matter their age.
what? how?
Services offered by our game are diverse. First things first, it has a pedagogical goal aiming to improve student career guidance during the construction of their professional path.
In order to do so, it allows the player to commit himself in the working world. Indeed, through an avatar he/she would have created, he/she would be able to choose an occupation in a sector he/she is interested in and then
to discover different missions related to the selected job.
Thanks to its immersive side, our simulation would help students to inscrease their knowledge and their comprehension of sectors in which they want to work. Moreover, private life is also impacted by his/her choics of career.
Then, career guidance is a stressing moment for students, it seems unquestionable for our game to be pedagogical but also playful. This way, he/she would be confronted to diverse ups and downs making their experience all the more entertaining.
Finally, our project has the objective to give self confidence to students about their skills to have jobs with responsabilities and that interest them.
describe the universe around your service by creating a mood board and name your service accordingly
Our project will be a free application available on smartphones (Android, Apple), the user will only have to download it and then open it to begin the experience !
In order to start, the user will have to create his/her character which is completely personalisable, and then give informations about his/her scholarship, interests, sectors more likely to interest him/her and the occupation he/she is interested in.
Then, the player will have the possibility to select the occupation he/she wants if he/she already has an idea or to choose between the different recommandations delivered according to the information he/she has given.
Once this step done, the player will be immerged in the game under the form of the character he/she have the control of. This way, he/she will start his/her career from scratch and his/her evolution, on the professional and personal sides, will depend on the choices made and the ability of the player to face the unpredictable.
About the gameplay, it will be strongly inspired by other games from the same genre (Sims, Second Life, Imvu), at the exception of the experience of professional life we aim to highlight and to develop.
